Hi, I’m Jax.

Since I was young, I have been interested in exercise, athletics, and personal development. After years of participating in soccer, basketball, football, baseball, and track, I began to notice interesting and challenging job opportunities in the world of health and wellness.  What began as an interest quickly became a passion as I worked toward my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, emphasizing exercise physiology and injury rehabilitation. That passion took root while working with the Sports Medicine department at California State University Monterey Bay as an assistant Athletic Trainer.

Having played sports for most of my life, I am now a huge consumer of professional athletics.  From soccer to international motorcycle racing, I am obsessed with things like team dynamics, coaching techniques, and athletic performance.  Due to that obsession, getting up at three o’clock in the morning on a Saturday to watch Premier League soccer has never felt like a sacrifice.  I also enjoy spending time and exploring the Vancouver area with my wife, Hilary, and our two dogs, Obi and Ripley.
